ICB.edu was developed and is maintained by International College of Broadcasting using the following completely free and open source software:

- Sumatra PDF, open source PDF reader for Windows
- GIMP, open source Photoshop alternative, available on Windows, Mac, and GNU/Linux
- FileZilla, FTP client for Windows, Mac, and GNU/Linux
- Mozilla Firefox, free, open source web browser for Windows, Mac, and GNU/Linux
- Greasemonkey, open source user script manager available as a plugin for Firefox
The design for this website is derived from OS Templates, which provides free, open source design templates for use both non-commercial and commercial use. This website also makes use of the Highslide JS thumbnail and media viewer, which is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 License.
